WATERVILLE, Kan. — Keeping a large organization like FFA running takes a lot of man power. This includes student leaders stepping up and filling roles vital to the FFA.

Wesley Denton of the Valley Heights FFA member currently serves as the Northeast District FFA Treasurer. This role allows him to serve as a representative for his district and to organize district activities.

But one of the most surprising parts, Denton says is, “the amount of people you meet and the amount of people that know you because of [the office].”

Denton also credits FFA for helping his develop key skills such as responsibility which will be vital later on in life.

“I most definitely see myself using the [skills] I have learned through being in FFA and a District Officer.” Denton added, “Being involved in FFA will greatly help me in future.
